MACARONI WITH SHARP CHEDDAR AND BACON

MACARONI WITH SHARP CHEDDAR AND BACON

Macaroni with Sharp Cheddar and Bacon is like a cross between baked macaroni and cheese and

baked pasta. The Newman's Own pasta sauce and the bacon add a smoky and spicy flavoring to

traditional mac and cheese. To prepare this dish, just layer the pasta, cheese, bacon, and sauce like you would for lasagna. Bake for 70 minutes and serve warm.

Ingredients:

1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked and drained

1 jar Newman’s Own Fire Roasted Tomato & Garlic Pasta Sauce

12 ounces sliced bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces

8 ounces extra sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium casserole dish, layer the pasta, pasta sauce, bacon, and cheese. Repeat for 2 more

layers.

Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bacon is cooked through.

Cooking Time: 1 hour 20 minutes
